Anthropic has launched ten new ready-to-run agent templates for its Claude AI, specifically designed to automate and streamline time-consuming tasks within the financial services sector. The templates aim to accelerate workflows such as building pitchbooks, conducting valuation reviews, screening Know Your Customer (KYC) files, and closing books at month-end. This development allows financial firms to integrate advanced AI capabilities into their operations within days, rather than months, according to the company.

The new agent templates are available as plugins for Claude Cowork and Claude Code, or as cookbooks for Claude Managed Agents, offering flexible deployment options. These tools are built upon Claude Opus 4.7, which achieved an "industry-leading" score of 64.37% on Vals AI's Finance Agent benchmark. Each template combines specific skills, governed data access through connectors, and specialized subagents for complex tasks.

A significant enhancement includes new add-ins for Microsoft 365, enabling Claude to work directly within Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with Outlook support coming soon. This integration facilitates seamless context transfer across applications, allowing tasks initiated in one program to flow into another without re-explanation. Anthropic has also expanded its partner ecosystem, adding new data connectors from providers like Dun & Bradstreet, Fiscal AI, Financial Modeling Prep, Guidepoint, IBISWorld, SS&C IntraLinks, Third Bridge, and Verisk, alongside a Moody's MCP app for credit ratings.

The suite of templates covers research and client coverage, credit, risk, compliance, finance, and operations. Specific agents include a Pitch Builder, Meeting Preparer, Model Builder, Market Researcher, Valuation Reviewer, General Ledger Reconciler, Month-End Closer, Statement Auditor, and KYC Screener. Leading financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Citi, Visa, AIG, JPMorgan Chase, FIS, Carlyle, and Walleye Capital, are already leveraging Claude's capabilities.

Anthropic's head of product for financial services, Nicholas Lin, noted a dramatic shift in adoption over the past six months, attributing momentum to improved models and tighter software integrations. This launch follows a recent $1.5 billion joint venture with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs, underscoring Anthropic's strategic push into the financial sector, which now represents the company's second-largest enterprise revenue source.
