Cryptocurrency influencer Tiffany Fong's earnings on the social media platform X reportedly declined significantly after she declined an alleged proposal from Elon Musk to have his child and subsequently discussed the matter with others. Fong, known for her crypto journalism, publicly denied contributing to a Wall Street Journal report detailing the alleged interaction, stating she "explicitly asked NOT to be included."

The Wall Street Journal article, published recently, claimed that Musk privately messaged Fong in late 2024, asking if she would consider having his child, despite the two never having met in person. Fong reportedly turned down the offer, citing a preference for a more traditional family dynamic. She later confided in friends, including fellow influencer Ashley St. Clair, about the proposal.

According to the report, upon learning that Fong had shared his request, Musk allegedly "chided" her for a lack of discretion and unfollowed her on X. This action reportedly led to a noticeable drop in Fong's online followers and a subsequent reduction in her earnings from the platform, which had previously seen her earn up to $21,000 in a two-week period in November 2024.

Fong, who gained prominence for her coverage of the FTX collapse and interviews with Sam Bankman-Fried, addressed the speculation on X, stating, > "For the record, I did not feed this story to WSJ (or any other outlet) and explicitly asked NOT to be included when I was contacted for comment. If you're waiting for me to comment publicly, it's not going to happen. THANKS! 🫶"

This incident adds to the ongoing public discourse surrounding Elon Musk's personal life and his stated desire to have a "legion" of children. Musk is known to have thirteen children with three different partners, and reports suggest he has actively sought to expand his family. Fong's experience highlights the potential professional and financial implications for individuals interacting with high-profile figures on social media.
