A nine-year-old girl walked into school that morning — standing tall, smiling, confident.

Less than an hour later, she was gone.

Her name was Amaira.

Class 4 student at Neerja Modi School, Jaipur.

On November 1 last year, she fell from the fourth floor of her school building.

For months, her parents had only questions.

Now, newly released CCTV footage has given them a timeline — but still not the answers.

🎥 What the cameras allegedly show

A boy shows Amaira something on a digital slate — one that wasn't even allowed in class.

Other boys join in.

Amaira covers her ears. Holds her head. Visibly distressed.

Her mother Shivani says she believes it carried sexual connotations — though what exactly was on that screen has never been established.

Within 25 minutes, Amaira approached her teacher.

👉 Not once.

👉 Not twice.

👉 Five times.

Her parents say the footage shows her being cornered — even threatened — instead of helped.

⏱️ The 40 minutes that haunt them

Amaira fell at 12:28 pm.

Her parents got the call at 1:08 pm.

By the time they reached the hospital, they say no one from the school was there.

They identified their daughter by a mole on her left foot.

"In our last moment, there was nobody with us," her mother told NDTV.

🧾 Not the first warning sign

  • 🖐️ A slap that left her hand red

  • 👎 A middle finger gesture from a classmate

  • 📝 Written complaints filed, WhatsApp messages sent, recordings shared

Her father pushes back on any suggestion she was already struggling.

She'd just won an All-Round Excellence Award. Out of 300 children.

The school denies wrongdoing.

A CBSE inspection had already flagged "systemic failures" in student safety — months before this happened.

The investigation is still open.

But somewhere in Jaipur, a couple watches the same footage every night — hoping it finally explains the one thing it can't: why nobody stopped it in time.

That's all for now!
