Most countries can't stitch that together.
India could — because it already had decades of locomotive-building muscle through organisations like RDSO, BHEL and RITES.
This wasn't a leap from zero. It was an upgrade from strength.
Critics aren't wrong to ask: is this really "green"?
Unless the electricity used to make the hydrogen comes from solar or wind, it's more gray than green.
MIT researchers say that gap closes as electrolysers get cheaper and adoption scales up.
