Seven months after he was killed inside his own home, the Television Academy just handed him one of the most quietly devastating honors in Hollywood.

Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found stabbed to death at their Brentwood home on December 14, 2025.
Their own son, Nick Reiner, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
He's pleaded not guilty. Held without bail. Awaiting trial in Los Angeles.
