The Rolling Stones have officially announced their new studio album, "Foreign Tongues," set for release on July 10, 2026. The legendary British rock band confirmed the album and simultaneously dropped its lead single, "In The Stars," on May 5, following weeks of cryptic teasers. This marks the band's 25th studio album, arriving less than three years after their critically acclaimed 2023 release, "Hackney Diamonds."

Ronnie Wood, the band's guitarist, shared the news on social media, stating, "Our new album Foreign Tongues is coming out on the 10th July! Pre-order it now." He also highlighted the immediate availability of the debut single, adding, "Debut single 'In The Stars' is available to stream now from your favourite service." The announcement also tagged bandmates Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, along with The Rolling Stones' official account.

"Foreign Tongues" was recorded in under a month at Metropolis Studios in West London and was produced by Andrew Watt, who also helmed "Hackney Diamonds." The album promises a star-studded lineup of guest appearances, including Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Robert Smith of The Cure, and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Notably, the album will also feature a special appearance from the late drummer Charlie Watts, derived from one of his final recording sessions before his passing in 2021.

The album's unveiling was preceded by an elaborate marketing campaign, which included mysterious posters under the pseudonym "The Cockroaches" and a limited vinyl release of the track "Rough And Twisted." Billboards displaying "Foreign Tongues" in various languages appeared globally, building anticipation among fans. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood attended an announcement event in Brooklyn, New York, hosted by Conan O'Brien, where they discussed the new material and its recording process.
