The Secret Service confirmed the arrest, stating that the man became disruptive and failed to comply with lawful orders from agents and local law enforcement personnel. The suspect was subsequently handed over to the Doral Police Department and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.
The incident at Doral follows a week after a more serious security breach at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C., where an alleged shooter reportedly attempted to assassinate Trump and members of his cabinet. This prior event has heightened security awareness around locations associated with the former president.
