A hospital without power can't heal anyone.

That's the quiet problem AIIMS Rewari has been wrestling with… for months.

But that wall is finally about to fall.

By the end of June, the campus gets its dedicated power supply.

Just in time.

Because OPD doors swing open in July.

⚡ The ₹16 crore lifeline

Two dedicated feeders. 8,100 kilowatts each.

Wired in from the Pali Gothra and Buroli substations by DHBVN.

Sanctioned in October 2025. Final stage now.

Sounds like a boring infra line, but think about it

No power = no ventilators, no ICUs, no scans, no surgeries.

This one cable is what turns a building into a hospital.

🏥 What's actually coming up at Rewari

PM Modi laid the foundation stone on Feb 16, 2024.

A little over two years later, the shape of it is real:

  • 🛏️ 720-bed hospital
  • 🎓 100-seat medical college
  • 👩‍⚕️ 60-seat nursing college
  • 🌿 30-bed AYUSH block
  • 💰 Original project cost: around ₹1,299 crore

And this year, the first batch walks in.

50 MBBS students. A small number. A loud beginning.

🚧 The hurdles they're still fighting

Power is solved. The rest is a checklist.

💧 Water: Campus needs 1,500 KLD daily. Right now, four tubewells at Pali are pumping just 500 KLD. A ₹26.8 crore canal-based scheme is meant to plug the gap by April 30, 2027if finance clears the funds.

🛤️ The railway bridge: Tenders out in two months. Construction window: 30 months. So a full ROB is still years away.

🛣️ Road access: The original alignment got revised after public objections. A trumpet interchange is now planned at the national highway — so patients won't have to cross live highway traffic to reach an emergency room. Approvals from DFCCI, NHAI and Railways are in.

🌧️ Stormwater: 86 of 90 rainwater harvesting wells are done. Encroachments on the drain — getting cleared.

🎯 The bigger picture

Rewari isn't just another hospital opening.

It's one of 22 new AIIMS stitched into India's healthcare map.

And for South Haryana — where serious cases still mean a long drive to Delhi — July is the month the math finally changes.

Power on. Doors open. Students in.

A decade-long promise is about to start treating its first patient.

That's all for now!
