Similarly, major drone strikes in September 2019 severely impacted the Abqaiq oil processing plant and Khurais oil field in the eastern province, with the Houthis also taking credit for these assaults.
The assessment that a substantial portion of these attacks could be originating from Iraq introduces a new dimension to regional tensions, traditionally focused on the conflict in Yemen.
