Former President Donald Trump hosted prominent white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes for dinner at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. The dinner, which also included rapper Ye (formerly Kanye West), sparked widespread condemnation and occurred just one week after Trump announced his 2024 presidential candidacy.

The meeting was initiated by Ye, who had requested a dinner with the former president. According to Trump's statement on his social media platform, Truth Social, "This past week, Kanye West called me to have dinner at Mar-a-Lago... Shortly thereafter, he unexpectedly showed up with three of his friends, whom I knew nothing about." Trump described the event as "quick and uneventful," and later claimed he "never met and knew nothing about" Fuentes prior to the dinner.

Nick Fuentes, 24, leads the "America First" movement and is widely recognized for his antisemitic, racist, and misogynistic views, including Holocaust denial. He gained notoriety after attending the 2017 "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville. Ye, who has recently faced significant backlash and lost major brand partnerships due to his own antisemitic statements, brought Fuentes as his guest.

In a video titled "Mar-a-Lago Debrief," Ye claimed Trump was "really impressed with Nick Fuentes" because, unlike others from his 2020 campaign, Fuentes is "actually a loyalist." This assertion contradicted Trump's attempts to distance himself from Fuentes. The White House issued a strong statement, with Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates saying, "Bigotry, hate, and antisemitism have absolutely no place in America - including at Mar-A-Lago. Holocaust denial is repugnant and dangerous, and it must be forcefully condemned."

The dinner drew sharp criticism from Democrats, anti-racist groups, and some Republicans, who questioned the judgment of the former president for engaging with such a controversial figure. Critics highlighted Trump's history of being criticized for his interactions with far-right individuals and his past reluctance to condemn white supremacists. The incident raised concerns about the vetting process for guests at Mar-a-Lago, particularly given Trump's recent declaration to run for president again.
